The Ambrose
The Ambrose hotel offers a range of cool amenities including a bar/lounge, gym, electric car charging station, and a complimentary beach shuttle.
Great staff, polite, knowledgeable and very helpful. Terrific coffee.
This is a lovely Hotel that surprisingly has no restaurant, no bar, no in room coffee maker and believe it or not single ply toilet paper. Maybe Motel 6 you expect that but not a higher end Hotel. Even some towels had thread shredding which again wasn't expected.
This is my third stay at The Ambrose and I will not hesitate to book again. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Lots of amenities like outdoor seating, fireplace on patio; 24 hour tea, coffee, fruit, bicycles, free car ride within two miles, in room snacks, drinks, teapot, Keurig, very comfortable mattress, quiet neighborhood. Across the street from Tartine bakery and coffee shop.
I was staying at the Ambrose because I was having surgery nearby and my surgeon's office recommended The Ambrose. I was coming in from out of state. The Ambrose is an upscale boutique hotel. It was quaint, quiet and the room was lovely. I got a room with a little balcony. The ceiling in my room was high so I never felt closed in during my three day recovery there. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. There were restaurants nearby. I highly recommend The Ambrose for any getaway.

Expedia Group verifies all reviews to ensure that the customer has indeed booked on our site. To encourage customers to submit their reviews, we send an email containing a link to evaluate the hotel to which we sometimes attach a reduction or Expedia Rewards voucher to use on a future trip. We post all reviews whether they are positive or negative, to the extent that they respect our content directives. This monitoring is automated.
