Enjoyable
We were there three nights for graduation ceremonies. Our first room(441) had virtually NO closet space and the toilet above us leaked on the first day, so we were moved (no bellman available) to 708, which at least had closet space and we could unpack, vs living out of our suitcases. The sink in that room emptied very slowly, suggesting some partial obstruction,which I reported to the front desk upon leaving. We could work around it and I certainly was not going to move to a third room. A shuttle was provided to the Boston College graduation, obviously a larger group, but not to Brandeis. I am hopeful that our next Marriott visit will be better, as Bonvay members.
Ok.. so not sure who will actually be reading this but here goes. So I called in March DIRECTLY to the Newton Marriott where I had my wedding reception 39 years ago ( so very familiar) and I asked about the special rate for the 45 high school reunion I was attending. I was given another number and told to call, I did got what I thought was a Marriott employee booked my room. I then received an email from the reunion folks saying the rates had dropped again call and get the lower rate. I called nope no room here I was told! Called the number on my confirmation and unbeknownst to me I had booked thru a third party and was told nope no refund no better rate non refundable. Scam! I could be issued a credit or coupon for another stay with a penalty! Again scam! Never again.
Mrs Latin was wonderful and friendly, excellent customer service Bar service needs improvement, the drinks 🍹 were not good.

We had mistakenly made two reservations for this room and the check in manager was outstandingly helpful in cancelling the unwanted and unneeded dual check in. He was great!
Unacceptable that there is no coffee available between 2:00 and 4:00pm.
Brisa at the front desk was very professional and helpful. I wish everyone had her sense of kindness and knowledge of the job. Room was clean. Service was great! Thank you.
