Our first time staying at the Golden Nugget and it was great.
Love the property and the pool.
The room was fine but they advertised a much nicer room than the one we actually got.

The room was fine but they advertised a much nicer room than the one we actually got.
I booked our two room stay online. The online company didn't reveal the additional fees. This was very upsetting. When I asked the gentleman at the front desk he laughed. During our five night stay we asked various staff for directions to places within the Golden Nugget, none of them gave us proper directions. Anytime we asked the staff for any assistance the treated us as if we were bothering them. As much as we enjoyed the Fremont street area, we will seek different accommodations on our next visit.
The corner room was great!
Systems were down for check in and had to wait 3.5 hours to check in making me have to cancel plans. Given a smaller room than promised and management wouldn't correct. Management yelled at me when I asked to be compensated or given a different room. No body wash in the room or enough towels.
A nice and clean room, plenty of great restaurant options nearby, los of entertainment.
It was a really nice over all.

Great atmosphere and old casino nostalgia. The pool area and aquarium were very relaxing. We would recommend.
Hotel was pretty good.
I had never stayed on the old strip of Vegas. I almost missed an adventure. The Golden Nugget offers that old feel of Vegas like in the Jackie Collin's books but with upgrades. I really enjoyed my stay although the casino wouldn't let me be great. I will definitely be back.
Easy place to stay. Convenient to market. Needed a robe. Needed a luggage rack. Chart House food was over priced and bad. Service very slow. Almost two hours to eat?.

Golden Nugget Hotel needs plenty of improvement. Among our criticisms: 1. Registration took 40 MINUTES at 1:00 a.m. Although the line took up much of the lobby space, only three of the 8 registration bays were manned. We hate to think what it’s like at peak times. Patrons deserve better. 2. The entire hotel is overdue for a major renovation. Its reputation has been as one of the nicest hotels in Las Vegas, but no more. Everything is dated and subpar. Comparing Golden Nugget to the nicer hotels on the strip is comparing Motel 6 to the Ritz Carlton. 3. The attractions in the hotel (other than the casino) were too crowded. The pool was shoulder to shoulder. The lines for the amenities were prohibitive. 4. We long for the day when Las Vegas finally joins the rest of the country with a no smoking policy. At least improve the ventilation in the casino. If smoking must continue to be allowed in the casino, make the remainder of the facility no smoking and enforce the policy.
Decent stay. Pool is nice.
Staff was very nice and hotel was very pleasant.
Golden Nugget was a great place to stay, we will be coming back.
