The cool thing about Arthouse Hotel New York City is its artistic and eclectic design, with each guestroom featuring unique artwork and decor.
Location is great as I have family in the area plus one block from the one Subway for access to the rest of the city. Rates were excellent, rooms were very clean and functional. We didn't select a room with a city view, but those are available.
This is the perfect location on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. Easy walking to Central Park, slightly longer but very manageable walk to Lincoln Center or quick Uber. Lots of great restaurants and bars right out the door. Its in more residential part of the City so a little quieter than a midtown hotel. The rooms themselves are very small and not particularly interesting or unique. Our king bed took up most of the room and to close the door of the bathroom, you had to step fully inside. It was however very clean with a really comfortable bed and top tier linens. One of the best things about this hotel is the service. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and makes you feel genuinely welcome, from the front desk to housekeeping. It is definitely the boutique hotel experience. I probably would have given it a 4.5 only because of the size of the room, everything else was a five.
Our room was very clean and spacious and with an amazing view of Broadway avenue (we were on the 10th floor). The staff was always responsive and helpful. We really liked the complimentary coffee and pastry coupons, even though the coffee quality was below average. Lastly, the location was very convenient as the subway was only a two minute walk and had close connections to many other lines nearby. We felt very safe in this neighborhood. We are overall very satisfied with our stay and would definitely book this hotel again.

Super clean and friendly. Great for coffee and muffins in the morning and a nightcap before bed. Upper West is the most hospitable neighborhood in Manhattan.
Wonderful boutique hotel located in terrific area close to Lincoln Center restaurant and the long walk from theater district. We look forward to staying at the Yard House hotel whenever we’re in New York.
