We have been coming up for the last 20+ years and we love the charm of the hotel and that it is dog friendly!
Our one night visit at the Lakeside Inn was memorable. We arrived to a busy throng of folks checking in and out on this Thursday morning. The hotel staff made quick work of getting everyone what they needed. We were not aware that in addition to the main hotel building there are several out buildings for guests as well. Our room was on the third floor of one of the out buildings. The room was cozy with a large walk in closet, a mini split air conditioner that did a great job of cooling with very minimal noise. The king bed was very comfortable and we both had a restful and peaceful night sleep. The bathroom was large enough and the shower water and water pressure were fine. The actual highlights of the property are the views of the lake and boat docks and the WONDERFUL, DELICIOUS meals in The Beauclaire dining room. This dining room and the food quality is out of the early 20th century with large tables with white linen tablecloths, full size plates and silverware and food portions. This kitchen puts out the best breakfast biscuit we have ever eaten. The omelet was perfectly done and the coffee was the best we have had in quite a while. This is the very best tasting food we have had in the Mt. Dora area in the 15 years coming to Mt. Dora. We just cannot say enough about the great food. We will be back.

A lovely get away that is right out of a Hallmark movie. The staff are helpful and friendly. The food and a delicious and the room is quaint and relaxing.
I enjoyed my stay very much. The hotel looks very nice and wears it's age well. The restaurant prepared a delicious dinner that we enjoyed while listening to relaxinging piano music. A very pleasant dinner.

I love everything about this place the lake view is just stunning. The pool is fantastic! The rooms feel like grandmas house! Just a very pleasant atmosphere the entire village is amazing.

The Lakeside Inn, Mount Dora has a lovely setting, well maintained and clean. The bedroom was ample, well furnished. The air conditioning had a remote control for temp setting. We arrived for breakfast at 10:20 it stops at 10:15 but the staff was gracious and arranged for us to be served. The inn is a historic site.

I was nearby in Tavares visiting one of our sister companies for work and was booked to stay at the Lakeside Inn. Although it was only one night, my experience was like a mini vacation! Mount Dora is a very nice town to visit. When I arrived at the inn, staff was friendly and attentive! My room was clean and comfortable and the views at sunset were unbeatable!
