"Great Stay"

Had everything we needed, great location. Room had a direct view of the dumpster, but that is fixable and we didn’t spend much time in the room.

It started on arrival, the registration counter was three steps up to reacher counter,difficult when you have walker! Whoever designed this, did not think about the people with disabilities ! Had to get my daughter to do the registration for the three rooms we reserved on my credit card. Understand hotel built on the waterfront over 40 years ago ( we watched it begin built) but walkways very dangerous brick so uneven walking. Room large, again floors had waves in them nervous walking on these floors. We moved small couche to get to close blinds, there were two bottles of body lotion, who knows how long they were there. Some tiles in bathroom were missing. I do have to say bed and pillows were extremely comfortable! I always wanted to stay at Danfords for many many years, but so so disappointed 😔. Hotel needs a major overhaul, it was so beautiful when it opened.

Danfords Hotel, Marina & Spa does not have a private parking lot. The Village of Port Jefferson meters all parking in the town. At check-in, your guests will be given the option of purchasing a “parking pass” for $8.00 per night. If they are driving, they will need to pay this charge so they can bypass having to pay the meters. Parking in the town is strictly enforced and they do give out parking tickets to those who don’t pay the meters or have a parking pass.
